Coppin State University (CSU) Club Football program in the Department of Health and Human Performance provides students with the opportunity to play full-contact football at the collegiate level and is meant for anyone who wishes to play in a competitive environment in the absence of an officially recognized National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) team. Comprised of part-time, full-time, graduate students, faculty members, staff members, and administrators this program is a comprehensive extracurricular program benefitting the students, employees and alumni; in addition to the Baltimore Metropolitan area.

All players participating must possess a passion for the game, tireless work ethic and a commitment to do what is needed to play at a higher-level of competition, than traditional High School Football.

The successful implementation of the program has provided the University with an opportunity for increased recognition, higher male student enrollment, improved retention and graduation rates

The mission of the Coppin State University (CSU) Club Football program is to provide an opportunity for the development of capable leadership, good citizenship, and above all else, to foster unity among students through participation in and support of this program.

As a recognized member of the National Club Football Association (NCFA) this program will serve as strong force for change, rallying support for the University’s academic, recreational and sport programs. Furthermore this program will provide students with new levels of school pride by offering them a more enhanced and complete collegiate experience.
